On June 8, a Brazilian healthcare delegation visited the Cell Valley Group for in-depth discussions on cell and gene therapy (CGT), advanced medical services, oncology and aging health management, and cross-border medical cooperation. Dr. Shi Yuanyuan, Founder and Chairman of the Cell Valley Group, received the delegation and introduced the Group's progress in CGT core technology platforms, viral vector manufacturing, cell therapy process development, clinical translation services, and international expansion.
The visiting delegation was organized by the Brazil Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and included senior executives from Brazilian healthcare services, private hospitals, health insurance, corporate health management, pension funds, digital health, home care, and government health system agencies, representing multiple key sectors of Brazil's healthcare ecosystem. Delegation members came from Grupo Laços, Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, Saúde Petrobras, Petrobras, ISA Saúde, Captamed Cuidados Continuados, FUNCEF, CAIXA, Lit Health, Parque Saúde Medical Mall, and agencies affiliated with Brazil's Ministry of Health.

During the exchange, Dr. Shi Yuanyuan noted that Brazil is one of the largest healthcare markets in Latin America, with strong clinical resources, payment systems, and medical service foundations. With the rapid global development of cell and gene therapy, Brazil has built an important base in the regulation of advanced therapy products, clinical exploration by leading hospitals, and high-end medical services. However, significant opportunities for cooperation remain in areas such as scaled CGT manufacturing, cost control, clinical translation efficiency, and accessibility.
Dr. Shi Yuanyuan introduced that the Cell Valley Group has long focused on the full-chain industrialization of cell and gene therapy, building an integrated technology platform covering viral vectors, CAR-T, CAR-NK, NK cells, γδT cells, mesenchymal stem cells, and extracellular vesicles, while promoting the development of regional CGT public service platforms in multiple Chinese cities. Taking this exchange as an opportunity, the Group hopes to explore a multilevel cooperation model with Brazilian healthcare partners encompassing "technology platforms + clinical translation + cross-border medical services + health management + real-world studies," providing Brazilian patients and healthcare systems with more accessible and sustainable advanced therapy solutions.
The Brazilian delegation expressed strong interest in the Cell Valley Group's CGT industrialization platform development, international compliance layout, hospital collaboration network, and advanced therapy service models. Drawing on Brazil's actual needs in oncology treatment, aging care, corporate employee health management, home medical services, and insurance payment systems, the representatives engaged in in-depth discussions with the Cell Valley team on potential cooperation directions.
Initial consensus was reached on four main areas: first, promoting China-Brazil cooperation on clinical translation of cell and gene therapy, exploring joint research and project translation with leading Brazilian hospitals; second, establishing advanced medical service and cross-border referral channels for Brazilian patients; third, exploring cooperation on immune health assessment, inflammation management, cancer risk screening, and real-world studies for corporate employees, retirees, and high-end health management populations; and fourth, discussing the joint establishment of CGT translation service platforms and talent training systems in Brazil to support the development of local advanced therapy capabilities.
Both sides expressed their intention to further promote the signing of a memorandum of understanding, establishing regular communication mechanisms on clinical research, technology translation, health management, cross-border medical services, data research, and platform development, to deepen and solidify China-Brazil advanced medical cooperation.
This visit by the Brazilian healthcare delegation marks an important step for the Cell Valley Group in expanding into the Latin American market and advancing the international collaboration of China's CGT industry platform. Going forward, the Cell Valley Group will continue to adhere to open cooperation, compliant development, and global expansion, working with international healthcare partners to bring cell and gene therapy technologies to more patients.
