On August 16, the 2026 Shenzhen Cell and Gene Therapy Symposium and the unveiling ceremony of the Cell and Gene Therapy Translational Innovation Center at Peking University Shenzhen Hospital were held in Shenzhen. Under the theme "Decree No. 818 Implementation · Regulatory Guidance – Opportunities and Challenges in Clinical Research of Cell and Gene Therapy," the conference brought together representatives from the medical, research, industrial, and investment sectors in the domestic CGT field to discuss new pathways for industry development in the context of the implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of Clinical Research and Clinical Translational Application of Emerging Biomedical Technologies.

Shi Yuanyuan, Chairman and General Manager of Shenzhen Cell Valley Biopharmaceutical Group, was invited to attend the forum and participated in the roundtable discussion "Opportunities and Challenges for CGT Clinical Research in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Following the Implementation of Decree No. 818," engaging in in-depth exchanges with experts from Fudan University Affiliated Pudong Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, and other institutions, as well as industry representatives.


Shi Yuanyuan noted that the implementation of Decree No. 818 has brought new development opportunities for clinical research and translational application of cell and gene therapy in China. The Cell Valley will continue to leverage its industrial advantages in cell product manufacturing, quality control, technology platforms, and clinical translation services, strengthen collaboration with medical and research institutions, and accelerate the standardized and efficient translation of innovative technologies to the clinic, contributing to the high-quality development of the CGT industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
