On June 27, 2026, the 2026 Whampoa Cell and Gene Innovation Conference, hosted by the Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Association and the Guangzhou Development District Biomedical and Health Industry Promotion Association, was successfully held at the South China Advanced Materials Innovation Park in Guangzhou. The conference featured multiple specialized forums focusing on industry hotspots including CGT technological innovation, clinical translation of cell therapy, and precision tumor immunotherapy. It brought together experts from various sectors to build an industry-academia-research-medicine exchange platform, empowering the high-quality development of the cell and gene industry in the Greater Bay Area. Professor Wang Jianxun, Director and Chief Scientist of the Cell Valley Group, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote presentation titled "Advances in CAR-NK Cell Therapy Research." He provided an in-depth overview of the company's two proprietary gene delivery platforms – the self-developed BaEV retroviral vector and the engineered eVLP pseudoviral particle system – combined with the advantages of universal CAR-NK scaled production, safe gene-editing technologies, and multi-indication clinical practice cases. The presentation specifically addressed key industry pain points, and the company's proprietary core technologies received full recognition and high praise from the experts present.-

At the outset of his presentation, Professor Wang Jianxun introduced the unique advantages of CAR-NK therapy – high efficacy, low toxicity, and the potential for off-the-shelf mass production. Drawing on authoritative literature and domestic pipeline analyses, he discussed the application prospects for various tumors and autoimmune diseases, and elaborated on the compliance requirements for clinical translation of cell therapies under Decree No. 818. Leveraging Cell Valley's years of technological accumulation, Professor Wang detailed the two proprietary delivery platforms: the BaEV envelope retroviral vector, which employs serum-free suspension production and achieves outstanding supernatant titers with over 90% transduction efficiency in T and NK cells, significantly reducing cell therapy manufacturing costs-; and the groundbreaking eVLP pseudoviral particles, which carry no viral genetic material and transiently deliver Cas9 for precise editing without the risk of genomic integration, enabling one-stop gene knockout and targeted modification to facilitate the development of armored CAR-NK cells. Related research outcomes have been published in Molecular Therapy in collaboration with Nobel laureate Professor Capecchi. The accompanying APUNK™ expansion technology enables ten-thousand-fold NK cell proliferation with purity exceeding 99%. The company's own 10,000-square-meter GMP full-chain production facility provides one-stop CDMO services covering vectors, cell manufacturing, translational center co-development, and IND filings.- This self-developed system received high recognition from all experts in attendance!

Concluding his presentation, Professor Wang Jianxun stated that Cell Valley will continue to refine and upgrade its delivery technology platforms, focusing on sustained R&D investment in novel solid tumor target pipelines. Leveraging its full suite of domestically developed, independently controllable core CGT technologies, the company will continue to accelerate the industrialization of innovative universal offtheshelf CAR-NK products. Through independently innovated core cell and gene therapy technologies, Cell Valley aims to propel the domestic cell therapy industry toward a new phase of standardized, high-quality development.
